From the supplier: Scott Hanson, a television journalist with an NBC affiliate in Orlando, FL, was fired when a video tape for a story he had been researching was aired by ABC and CBS affiliates. Hanson had returned the video to his story's source after his editors had decided to not broadcast the story. Hanson's news director felt allowing unedited video to leave the station violated an essential rule of investigative reporting. Hanson chose to be fired rather than quit and promise to keep silent about the incident.
