From the supplier: Minority groups are reported to have greater fear of crime compared to the wealthy and the whites. Latinos often live in crowded and poor environments which make them more socially vulnerable, especially the women. Latinas fear crimes such as mugging, molestation, rape, incest and domestic violence. Several Latinas also express that they are more afraid of people they know than strangers. However, they cope with this fear by limiting their social activities and being mindful of the way they dress. They also join groups or 'gangs' to make them feel safer.
