From the supplier: The European Union (EU) claims that its incremental approach in deregulating the air transport industry is economically superior to the US' radical reforms. Comparative assessments, however, show that EU's claim of superiority is not completely accurate as it failed to recognize differences in background conditions between the US and Europe. Furthermore, US policies liberalizing the airline industry have been observed to have given better consumer benefits than those of the EU.
