From the supplier: A bank customer was irritated with the comparatively slow response time of the bank to return to his account the money which was deducted but not dispensed by an automated teller machine (ATM). The bank personnel in charged of handling such ATM problems insisted that it would take 10 days before the money was returned to the account even though he was not sure why. Advanced technology would have allowed the bank to perform the transaction within 24 hours but it appears that the bank's organization has not been able to catch up with the speed of technology.
