From the supplier: Evaluation of public policies and conclusions on social and economic change processes are conventionally based on the provision of commodities and non-commodities within societies. However, such bases for evaluation create or bring about certain problems. These problems, however, can be lessened and avoided via the recognition of quasi commodities, a category of commodities in a social process marked by some but not all the traits of a commodity. The idea of quasi commodities affects several economic issues such as medical care provision and land and labor markets.
