From the supplier: Endicott College in Massachusetts uses specialized career-planning software called SIGI PLUS to link its career center to all departments. First-time users in the career services department are introduced to SIGI PLUS by a counselor and complete Introduction and Self-Assessment sections, going over the results carefully before exploring other sections. The school made SIGI PLUS available to all students in phases, installing a workstation in the library and gradually building partnerships with academic deans, internship coordinators and department chairs. Internships are an integral part of every major at Endicott, which requires students to spend one month each year and all of the senior year in an internship program to get hands-on experience complementing their academic studies. Adult students in the school's continuing education division can also use SIGI PLUS to assess skills developed over time and rewrite resumes highlighting the value of their experiences.
