From the supplier: Vermont taxpayers such as Mary Barrosse were shocked in 1997 when the state Supreme Court declared the traditional funding of public schools to be unconstitutional. Also, the state's legislature's Act 60 revised the property tax rates and required revenue to be distributed equally among all school districts. The traditional method had been for each locality to fund their schools.
