Vanco's recent deployment of a global IP MPLS network for Siemens is a good example of how a global company accustomed to managing its own proprietary network can migrate to a managed network using the services provided by a virtual network operator.
Vanco will integrate multiple MPLS infrastructures into a single global seamless network through its MPLS Matrix services. The integration process ensures that quality and class of service is available end-to-end, therefore enabling real-time applications such as VoIP. "This approach enables Siemens to outsource global network management but at the same time not lose any decision-making competence," said IDC's Ariane Afrough, research manager for the German telecommunications market.
