Theodore Roosevelt: The Pulitzer Prize Biography

Since its publication in 1931, Henry F. Pringle's Pulitzer Prize biography of Theodore Roosevelt has generally been held to be the standard life. In preparing the book for reissue in the Harvest series, Mr. Pringle revised the text throughout - especially the Elting E. Morison edition of TR's letters - and by careful excision somewhat reduced its length. Mr. Pringle has shown great skill in condensing all the significant incidents of his subject's career into a chronicle of which the interest is maintained throughout and which is yet sufficiently detailed to be of value for reference.
