Aakraman

unil (Rakesh Roshan), a young army officer, falls in love with Sheetal (Rekha) at first sight. On learning that she is betrothed with his commanding officer, Ajay (Sanjeev Kumar), he starts hating him. Hatred is soon turned into awe and respect when he gets to know Ajay while working closely with him. Sunil realises that love has many forms and reconciles himself to losing his beloved. When Ajay gets killed in a forward operation, Sunil vows to take care of Ajay's widowed mother. This action-packed film, set against the backdrop of war, has Ashok Kumar in a pivotal role and Rajesh Khanna in a memorable guest appearance. Music by Laxmikant - Pyarelal includes 'Fauji Gaya Jab Gaon Mein' which pays tribute to soldiers.
