"The Highway Research Board Conference on the AASHO Road Test, held in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 16-18, 1962, provided an opportunity for 850 highway engineers and administrators, university representatives, and representatives of associated industries to hear descriptions of the project and summaries of the findings prepared by the staff men who conduted it. In addition, engineers and researchers of the Federal government, the State highway departments and industry who had been working with Road Test equations were on hand to describe some of the potential uses of the findings. Ample time was made available for discussions concerning the staff analyses of the data. This volume includes all of the technical papers and discussions presented at the Conference. It should provide a worthwhile supplement to the seven formal AASHO Road Test reports that have been published by the Highway Research Board as Special Reports 61A through 61G.
