Web Hosting: Room for Niche Players in the High End of the Canadian Market?

This IDC study analyzes Web hosting services in Canada, particularly in the high end segment of the market (i.e., complex function-rich Web sites). IDC believes that the high end of Web hosting represents the largest concentration of revenue and profit as well as the most attractive growth opportunities in the market. "IDC's research into the high-end Web hosting segment suggests that specialty Web hosting firms such as Q9 Networks and Fusepoint Managed Services are experiencing tremendous growth and are making inroads in areas typically dominated by larger telecommunication carriers and tier 1 outsourcers," according to Jason Bremner, director, outsourcing services.
