"The APEJ packaged software market is forecasted to grow 11.1% in 2006 amid sustained price pressures, increasingly integrated selling strategies, and continuing market consolidation," says Wilvin Chee, director, Software Research, IDC Asia/Pacific. "Countrywise, IDC expects China to grow its contribution at the expense of other large markets like Korea and Australia. The heavy investment by both foreign and local vendors in the domestic China market over the last few years is clearly starting to show strong returns in terms of user adoption and technology awareness," he further adds.
