Description

Looking for patterns that produced winners, Gillen started making sports predictions based upon astrological information, with an average of just over 80% against the spread. With the information from the stats that were gathered, he was able to make the predictions for the entire season without knowing the performance of a team week-by-week. Similar to horse racing, Gillen used the planetary hours, the V factor, and the astro key--which was used to determine the best key player. Astrologers, like Sydney Omarr, started to recognize some of the astrological factors Gillen was using, and the local papers, writing about their team, and what the astrological factors predicted for the team. The first book on all of the sports teams was published in 1970, entitled The Key to Speculation. All of this research was presented at the 1970 AFA convention. It was this manuscript that lead to the Key to Speculation series. The Key to Speculation for Pro and College Games provided the reader with a table of the moon value on the day of play, also, what to expect during the planetary hour segments, a power rating, and playing surface indicator. By subtracting the team with the lowest points from the team with the highest points, this would determine how many points the top team could win by to beat the spread. The Internet, with its doors open worldwide, made it possible to place a sports bet without going to Las Vegas, and gave birth to the sports Psion computer. All of the data from the research was placed on data and ram packs, allowing the user to have a smorgasbord of sports to wager on. There were now many tournaments that one could enter. Many of our clients started winning large amounts of money, not only from their wagers, but also from contests.
