Why do you want to study prophecy? To satisfy your curiosity? To be able to answer questions about it? To know whether or not to expect another war or the Tribulation in your lifetime? There is a great blessing to those who delve into prophecy to learn what God says about the future and about eternal things. Yes, "what God will reveal, He has revealed to us, and to our children in perpetuity; ours to live by this law and by all the terms of it" (Deut. 29:29, Knox Translation). The outcome of a study of Biblical prophecy should by a holier life. God wants His people to be prepared for whatever is ahead. he has told what is coming; it is up to the believer to understand what He has said. Where it is unintelligible, he is to search for the Spirit's meaning. John says, Happy is the man who reads and hears and keeps the things written in the Revelation.
