With more than 90 percent of government departments currently online, Australia’s federal and state government departments are committed to the Internet as a communication channel with their constituents. However, over 72 percent of Australian government sites only provide basic static information, with some offerings limited to contact details and media releases. Only three government agencies provide integrated transactional services.
