Travels With Zenobia - Paris to Albania By Model T Ford (A Journal of Two Restless American Women)

In 1926, two American women, Rose Wilder Lane and Helen Dore Boylston, dissatisfied with their lives in the United States, left Paris in a Model T Ford named Zenobia to settle in Albania. This narrative of their travels revels two women who were representative of that restless generation of Americans loosened from their roots by World War I. They represent also the first generation of Americans to accept the automobile wholly into their lives, even while endowing it - like a favorite horse - with character, personality and a name.
