The G2/S2 intelligence officer must provide continuous intelligence and information for the commander to conduct operations and minimize risk.
Intelligence is the commander's decisionmaking tool. The commander, who drives intelligence, does so for planning before deployment, while enroute, and during operations and redeployment.
