This IDC study, which is a translation of the Japanese report IDC #J8240106, presents an analysis of the enterprise VoIP equipment market in 2H07, forecasts from 2008 to 2012, as well as trends of wireless VoIP solutions. The enterprise VoIP equipment market leveled off and slowed down in 2H07. However, IDC forecasts that the enterprise VoIP equipment market, including the IP key telephone system market, will grow steadily and gradually throughout the forecast period.
"In order for the enterprise VoIP equipment market to maintain the forecast growth rate, vendors and sales channels should strengthen the sales channels for SMBs, develop mobile applications, and work on security and environment compatibility of VoIP equipment," says Takashi Manabe, research manager, Communications, IDC Japan.
