Final Warning

Children/Young Adult Novel. New responsibilities and a 35 year old mystery confront a 12 year old girl when her father is sent to Iraq. Robyn becomes the primary caregiver for her 8 year old sister, Nicky, while her mother works extra hours to keep the family income stable. Nicky's ADHD presents special challenges for both girls.
Robyn's father, a professional archaeologist recalled to active duty, finds himself threatened by a conspiracy of silence surrounding his predecessor's disappearance and replicas substituted for missing artifacts. Robyn discovers that her grandfather had been killed investigating a similar set of mysterious circumstances during the Vietnam War. Attempting to help her father, Robyn encounters an internet stalker who may be involved in both mysteries.
Relying on friends and modern technology, Robyn gets close enough to the solution to put herself and her family in immediate danger. A former military officer has engineered the theft of artifacts from countries at war. Now he kidnaps Robyn's mother and tries to kill Robyn before her friends come to the rescue. The crisis over, Robyn comes to appreciate her life, along with its problems and rewards.
