Description

Mike Adams and Rick Donovan were having a great day. Sun was shining, they were out under the open skys of the western plains hunting, and then they went and got caught in a time travel experiment.

For several days, they didn't know what the electrical storm had done to them, until they ran into Colonel George Amrstrong Custer, who informs them they are in the middle of the Little Bighorn Campaign.

Adams and Donovan aren't your average tourists, however. Adams served in combat in Iraq; Donovan is a sales rep and gun smith for a company that produces AR-15 rifles. This is the main reason the two are out west anyway; to deliver several of Donovan's product.

Custer witnesses what the black rifles can do, however, and drafts the two into his unit at gunpoint. They can either fight with the Seventh Cavalry, or be dragged back to Fort Abraham Lincoln in chains. Being the pragmatic Midwesterners they are, Donovan and Adams sign on for the duration.

The changes their apperance in the timestream creates does not go unnoticed. The military unit in charge of the malfunctioning time travel experiment sends a squad back in time to retrieve Donovan and Adams, dead or alive. Donovan returns to his correct time, Adams refuses.

Captain James Marshall, the commander of the squad, leaves behind Master Gunnery Sergeant Brittany Sufeuntes to complete the mission and assassinate Adams.

Things change however, as Adams and the Gunny fall in love, and she comes clean about who she is. They make the jump to their own time to save Donovan from the military, and expose the time travel unit for the damage it has done.
