Description ▲
Vivaldi's Concerto in G major Op. 3, No.3 belongs in the repertoire of every student of the violin, especially its first movement. It was published in , making it one of the few violin concerti to appear in print during Vivaldi's lifetime. Our volume presents a revised new edition with a new piano reduction and a new solo part with fingering marks. On the CD you will find three bonus learner's tracks with slowed-down orchestral accompaniments for movements 1 and 3 as well as a slightly faster orchestral accompaniment for movement 2.The CD opens with a complete performance of the concerto for Violin and Orchestra. Our audio clips are samples of these three movements. After hearing the work performed the student proceeds to band 4 the beginning of the work, with piano accompaniment played in a slow practice tempo. The violin may be heard softly in the background as a practice guide. This performance of the entire concerto in slow tempo is followed by a complete second performance with the piano in a medium tempo. Each of these two performances is divided into sub-sections indicated in the music, This enables the student to practice any part of the concerto requiring additional study. Finally, at band 31, we return to the full orchestra version with which the student can then perform, having mastered the work at the slow and medium tempos provided. The fingering and bowing marks were provided by Herman Scherz, a renowned violin teacher. All performances are live. The sheet music offered contains an orchestral (2nd piano part) and the solo part. This is customary with all Dowani releases. Each CD includes:1. A full-performance version at concert tempo2. A slow-tempo version for practice3. An intermediate-tempo version for practice4. An accompaniment version at concert tempo, most often with full orchestra or basso continuo (depending on instrumentation)5. A beautifully engraved printed solo part.Performed by Alexey Bruni, Violin SoloistAccompaniment : Russian Philha
