This IDC study updates IT and telecom trends found in the four Nordic markets — Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland.
The most recent financial developments in the four countries are highlighted, as well as major market developments in hardware, software, and services. New data and forecasts are provided for the size of all product markets in the Nordic countries. Furthermore, IDC's risk assessment for the Nordic region provides a heads-up on the most potential risks to the investment climate.
"It is now clear, that we are on the right side of the economic crises, and companies — end users as well as vendors — are looking forward to a recovery phase when IT spending is improving," said Per Andersen, managing director of IDC Nordic. "However, vendors seem to be much more bullish about the outlook for 2010 compared with much more cautious buyers — and in an increasingly mature industry, suppliers have to get used to a low market growth scenario being the normal state of the market."
