Live - The Early Years celebra i 40 anni di carriera della Electric Light Orchestra, fondata nel 1970 da Jeff Lynne e Roy Wood. Live the early years raccoglie tre tracce video relative alla prima parte della carriera della band che ha venduto album per un fatturato di oltre 50 milioni di euro. La prima è una traccia video estratta da uno show alla Brunel University nel 1973, la seconda comprende un filmato per la serie tedesca Rockpalast del 1974 ed infine il The Fusion concert dal New Victoria Theatre a London nel 1976, filmato durante il Face The Music tour.
