This IDC study examines desktop, notebook, and netbook PC ownership and purchase plans as well as channel and brand preferences in different kinds of home office households.
"Home office households and home-based businesses continue to represent an important opportunity for IT vendors," said Justin Jaffe, senior research analyst in IDC's Home Office Market program. "The increasing appeal of more portable form factors and the growth of multiple PC households continue to impact the ways that home office households add, replace, and upgrade PCs."
