The competition was sponsored by the German publication, Zeitschrift fur Innendekoration (Magazine of Interior Design) in Darmstadt. Some ninety years later, Macintosh's House for an Art lover was finally built. The house has been erected in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, where it was completed during the autumn of 1990. These plates have been reproduced from the collection of the Glasgow School of Art.
