Description: Contains eight beautiful, high quality 13" x 15" reproductions of the actual drawings for the house he designed in the 1901 competition to design a house for an art connoiseur. The competition was sponsored by the German publication, Zeitschrift fur Innendekoration (Magazine of Interior Design) in Darmstadt.
Some ninety years later, Macintosh's House for an Art lover was finally built. The house has been erected in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, where it was completed during the autumn of 1990.
These plates have been reproduced from the collection of the Glasgow School of Art.
Drawings include: Perspective of the Dining Room, Schoolroom, Drawing and Music Rooms and Elevation of the Drawing Room Windows, South Wall and Gallery of the Hall, Music Room Piano, a Bedroom Wall, and the Drawing Room Fireplace.
