My Uncertainty Principle

In today's world can we ever be sure of anything? Modern man is caught between knowing too much but never quite enough. The characters in this short story collection are plagued, often laughably, by some degree of uncertainty when it comes to everyday relationships, health, and the passage of time. "What if?" dominates their lives, colors their decisions and indecisions, and leaves them hungering for more, even as they wish they knew less. The age old questions regarding our purpose and meaning never fade from their minds, the answers never fully satisfy them and the uncertainty continues to gnaw at them until we want to laugh out loud.
