Signed - 1979 Franklin Library Limited Edition. Signed by Erskine Caldwell on 3rd free endpaper, with special introductory note from the author. The only flaw is a small dot on bottom gilt edge. This is one of the Sixty Books of Fine Authors Signed Leather Editions, published by Franklin in the years 1977-1982. Brown leather boards, distinctive, ornate coverdesign in 22-karat gold gilt. Silk moire endpapers with matching satin book mark. Edges are gold gilded and the paper used is acid neutral to last generatins without discoloring. Beautiful book - great gift. Proceeds benefit Oro Valley Public Library.
