For the shy people out there I would definitely recommend this book.

It wont reveal some great mystical secret and you may read some bits and think I know this already - but then why aren't you using these tools already!? Self help books are all about stating the obvious and putting things in such a way that you can't help but follow the great advice contained within.

The style of this book makes it unique in that you can dip in and out of it when you need to. When you are confronted with a particularly stressful or new social situation this book can help you build up a bank of conversation starters that will help you feel more confident going into it.

This book wont be for everyone - if you already think you're a great conversationalist you shouldn't be looking at this in the first place, but for all those wall flowers out there, give it a read!

I really liked this book. Not only was it short, to-the-point without any tedious filler to wade through but the advice was sensible and practical. Definitely highly recommended for anyone who finds talking to strangers to be an ordeal. I think I got more out of this little book than out of others twice as long and twice as costly.

I know some reviews are saying this book states the obvious, but for some people it may may not be. I found a lot of it was stuff I did know, but even so, it was a useful guide for someone like me who is usually shy, suffering from low-self esteem or unsure what to say to new people. Also it helped me to understand what was happening when a conversation did flow right away. So if you feel like you need a bit of good advice, then this book is cheap enough and accessible enough to help you along.

I liked this book. Its straight to the point and offers practical ideas I find myself using. There`s no fluff, no filler and no theory just ideas that work when I`m socialising or even at work when I want to get to know people better.

I particularly liked the Conversation Acceleration techniques. There are some clever ways there to make sure I never get stuck for words.

I really like this book. Its straight to the point and I found it easy to follow the step by step tips. I never knew there were so many easy ways to make small talk. Its not as complicated as some people make out.

Is the book perfect? No of course not but it covers the important stuff I was looking for. If you are busy like me and have no time for fluff you`ll find this book a breath of fresh air.
