This novella contains many of the stereotypical and nonsensical elements of romance novels the author has read over the years: chance and accidental meetings, mistaken identities, bizarre tangents, superfluous descriptions, overused words and phrases, one-dimensional “European” characters, farcical and illogical plots, discombobulated dialogue, and general overwriting of scenes.
