Visual Delights In Photo & Poem was created by R. Lynn Murphy with individual poems each complimented with her own photographs completed over a two-year span. The photographs of flowers were grown in Lynn’s own garden prior to photo development, and the addition photographs are from travels in the state she resides in - Florida. These carefully selected poems are offered here for the first time in publication. R. Lynn Murphy is an avid photographer starting with 35 millimeter young building an inventory of thousands of photographs, and advancing into the digital era never looking back. Love of poetry was instilled at an early age also, although it was not until adulthood that she found her own expression through free-verse writing that opened up a whole new way in which to view the world around her.
The written poems each hold a special meaning to the poet, and others reviewing her work find their own special meaning in the words. There is a selection of 48 poems in all that portray an expression all her own expressly meant to be shared with those that find enjoyment, fulfillment, and comfort with written eloquent verse. When reading through a selected poem, the unique style in which each poem is created to reflect on momentary thoughts and experiences is revealed. This book is the author’s debut into the genera to be share with others that love poetry as much as she does. Each poem can stand alone, although the author choose a photograph for each as commentary to further embellish her thoughts and feelings in presentation.
Small printings of Visual Delights In Photo & Poem were completed for distribution in 2010 and feedback was exciting to the new author. Purchasers expressed delight in the poems with certain poems holding special meaning unique to their own experiences in life. The words are assembled to bring happiness, laughter, frustration, understanding, comfort, and more in a positive expression of true emotions expressed during development. The photographs were all developed in color format, and advanced viewing will best be achieved with color download, although all photographs transfer in black-and-white as well. This book is sure to please individuals who love poetry with the addition of beautiful photographs to compliment.
