"The nonrelational database management systems market showed a steady recovery," says Carl Olofson, research vice president for Database Management and Data Integration Software research at IDC. "This was a "bounceback year" for nonrelational DBMS, with renewals of maintenance and hardware upgrades (with attendant software license fee increases, especially on mainframes) driving growth."
