According to IDC Chief Analyst Frank Gens, "This cloud forecast, our fourth annual since 2008, is right in line with our previous ones, built on the same market drivers we accurately identified over three years ago. But the market is certainly evolving in new ways, most notably with the delivery of more "enterprise grade" offerings, and the rapid emergence of cloud-enabled — and cloud-amplifying — technologies such as the ever-expanding "species" of new mobile devices, the explosion of mobile apps, the growing availability of wireless broadband, and the explosion of big data tools."
