A massacre in Russia leaves only one survivor. Rescued by Cossacks, Katja joins a refugee army fleeing into Allied-occupied Europe. But Stalin wants them back and a deadly repatriation begins.

Cossack is the first in the Drava series, a triplet of stories all ending at the same time and in the same place, on the banks of the Drava. The second in the series, The war and Hannah Thaller will be available shortly, followed by the final piece, Kaiserjaeger, some time in the new year.
