MODERN HUMAN MORALITY

Traditional human morality is rapidly breaking down in the west. Promiscuous sexual behavior is glorified in the media and the resultant adultery is destroying traditional family life. Drug addiction to illegal and legal drugs is on the rise and causing many people to lie and even steal to feed their addiction. Religion has a basic morality but it is flawed with too many untruths, an abundance of useless words, and too much disregard for the primary importance of nature and the importance of biodiversity on this planet.
The New Age is an attempt to search for a world beyond the material without regard for righteousness or moral law. Whether it’s Dianetics, est, Unity, Gaea, Transcendental Meditation, Taoism, ufology, crystalology, goddess worship, reincarnation, harmonics, numerology, astrology, holistic healing, positive thinking, or any of a hundred “consciousness raising” techniques of our day, the modern age is on a search for some mystical “divine unity,” a search which actually testifies to the failure of modern secular humanism to satisfy the spiritual hunger of the soul. You don’t need mysticism to function well in a moral lifestyle.
China, without religion or secular humanism is prospering so a basic human morality is present which is functional and needs few major further embellishments. There is a basic concise modern morality that should be adhered to and this book presents a morality that can successfully function in any human society, atheist or religious, if it is enforced with just government laws. Functional human morality can really be stated very simply and all that needs to be done is to apply the principles for a just human society. After much thought, only one commandment or principle, with five exceptions to the principle, is necessary to ensure a just society but I have started off by giving 6 commandments which should be followed to ensure a just society anywhere on the face of this good earth of ours.
