This book describes a requirements lifecycle based on the Rational Unified Process (RUP) framework, from business modeling through to analysis and design. It describes a subset of RUP and Unified Modeling Language (UML), such that when combined together prove an effective method for software development in almost any situation. It includes some of the most useful software development practices and the most common UML notations.
