The characters from "Voices on the Wind" were inspired, in part, from the story of the author's paternal family tree.
Perhaps, the stories of the slaves during the period of American enslavement may have been similar. Even though enslavement was not their choice, the innate desire to leave evidence behind that they existed is what gave the stories of the slaves hope.
Some of the characters will also look at this story of slavery in America through the eyes of the descendants of the Hebrew slaves in Egypt.
"Voices on the Wind" is a compelling must-read story for today's times!
