Albarn and Romy are two teenage children who meet by chance just before a calamity hits the island where they live. In order to rescue their King who has been captured, they have to travel halfway across the world, encountering wizards, pirates and warriors, not to mention Dukes and Sultans. They endure capture, shipwreck, a fierce battle and attack by ravenous wolves. They learn the power of music and healing, and the virtues of calmness under pressure. But nothing they meet on their travels is enough to prepare them for the final encounter with the most evil man in the world...

Set in an imaginary world in the distant past, this is a book to be enjoyed by young and old. Each of the 21 chapters can be read out loud in about 30 minutes.
