Loving Reflections on the Complexity of God

This slim volume is my gift to God. Included in it is nearly everything that God has taught me since placing me on the path of intellectual understanding. This book is not written to convert, but those who seek to believe may find answers to their questions about God. My purpose is to strengthen the faith of those who do believe by answering questions like: “Why does God allow disasters?” “Why does evil exist and what is its cause?” "Do we have free will?"

We also explore other questions: "What is it like to encounter God's judgment?" and "What is heaven like?" We examine the nature of time, and our part in God's creation. We view all this from God's perspective (as best we can).

All this is done in the context of God's loving nature. It can't be otherwise because God is Love. The following are excerpts from the discussions of love.

Love is God’s foundation, God’s very essence. We were created by God as an object for His love. The creation of the universe was an act of love intended to create more love. We are created to love God and God’s creation, most especially one another. We are the reason for creating the universe.

Love always leads to God. God, Who is all love, values only the love in His creation. Such is God’s love for us that He seeks us unrelentingly, obsessively. He calls and guides and nudges and turns by force of circumstances all those who do not yet love Him. He spares no effort. He never gives up!

The One Who loves us all, wants us to love those He loves. When people know that they are loved strongly and without restraint, they are strengthened by that knowledge. The excitement and joy of knowing and loving God, of being in God’s Presence, is never better done than when it is shared.

A powerful forgiveness is available to us all. We have only to repent and ask for it. God will give it because God loves us so much. God wants as many of us as possible to arrive in heaven with a heart filled with love for God and one another and all of our sins forgiven. He extends time to increase the number of us who succeed.
