Luis Villazon pens the question and answers section of PC Format magazine; and has done so for many years while he waits for the inevitable zombie apocalypse. We simply couldn’t find anyone to replace him (honestly we’ve tried but he always finds them). This is because Luis isn’t like your normal tech support engineer. In fact Luis isn’t really like any other human being on the planet. Whether this hints at an off-world origin, a freakish lab experiment gone awry or a breakthrough in string theory is open to debate but he certainly doesn’t answer tech support questions like anyone else. His philosophy is simple: if you ask him a question, then you deserve an answer – no matter how much that answer might make you want to shrivel out of your skin and hide in a cupboard.
Inside this first volume of his best work, you’ll find some genuinely useful information. The kind of gems that will enable you to get on with whatever you were doing in the first place before that ‘bad thing happened’. You may even be able to impress the opposite sex with your astounding feat of computing know-how. But that’s not the point of this collection. The point is the delivery, the insults. Oh, and the ridicule. The grumpiness. The general air of a man answering a question that he has been asked a hundred times. It’s not necessarily that Luis is better than you, it’s more than you are clearly so beneath him, that you deserve his contempt.
We’ve broken each section down into ‘The five categories of all human misery’, and defined what each one means at the start of the section. Read and absorb all that the great Luis has to say on the subjects covered and you’ll not only improve your ability to solve your own issues, but you may just have a giggle on the way.
