Letter of Credit

On April 16, 1939, a young New Yorker embarks on a journey by ship around the world. He is using a "Letter of Credit" to finance his adventure. The chapters of the book are written about the stops he makes on this whimsical journey and the people and places he visits. He stops in London, Edinburgh, Paris, Marseilles, Port Said, Colombo, Singapore, Sydney, Auckland, Fiji Islands and Honolulu before disembarking in Los Angeles on September 27, 1939. Quire an enlightening journey for this young fellow on his first trip out of New York City.
