Description

Renowned motoring writer Eric Dymock selects features, road tests, motoring columns and excerpts from his books on sports car classics. Some material is quoted at length; most are features of under a thousand words, just as they were published between about 1960 and 2010. Dymock adds commentary to expand and illustrate. Two-part ebook.

Digital book in two parts:
Contemporary features, road tests, motoring columns and quotations from his books are among items Eric Dymock has selected from half a century’s writing about cars. His first choice is what can loosely be called sports cars. Some material is quoted at length; most are features and motoring columns of under a thousand words just as they were published between about 1960 and 2010. Some are full length features of more than 2,500 words and are, for the most part, only lightly revised in Dove Digital house style.

Written for widely different publications, they vary in style. Road tests Eric Dymock compiled for The Motor have a technical bias, distilled from the opinions of the road test staff. Sunday Times readers did not expect anything like that. They read unvarnished personal views gained from hundreds of thousands of miles test-driving virtually every make of sports car in the second half of the 20th century as well as many from the first.
