The Merck Manual Eighth Edition

From Foreword: The Merck Manual is intended to supply the physician with accurate, condensed, readily available medical information. Emphasis is laid upon diagnosis and treatment, but care has been taken to include certain basic physiologic, pathologic, an other facts essential to effective therapy. Surgical procedures, where indicated, have been mentioned but not described. The Eighth Edition is a completely new handbook, not a revision of previous editions.
