The next section deals with the speed and extend of chemical reactions including kinetics, equilibria, thermodynamics, electrochemistry. Also discussed is Environmental chemistry that features a discussion of the atmosphere and hydrosphere. The final chapters survey the chemistry of nonmetal, metals, organic chemistry, and biochemistry.
