Florence in 1 Day is more than a guide.
This is your advisor, tourist guide and all-in-one information when, where and what to do in Florence in 1 Day.
Florence in 1 Day gives the best possible route to visit Florence in as little as 6 hours. This book is loaded with tips on how to save money, where to walk, what to buy and where to take a break.
Using all possible resources with our logo “We Were There for You†this book is full of information that no other guides will give and no other buys are needed.
While other travel guides spend so many pages on basic alphabetical listings of all museums and galleries, this guide will take you to Florence from Livorno or La Spezia – if on a cruise, and from train stations or airports, and then we are going to walk together from site to site, with exact explanations on which street to take, for how long you are going to walk and what you are going to see in a meantime.
Book covers all below mention sights with exact information, maps, charts and opening times, telephone numbers, links and addresses for: The Baptistery, Il Duomo, Academy of Fine Arts, Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, The Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio and The Pitti Palace.
With added link on the end of the book you can download and print your PDF brochure which will make your visit even more successful.
Our visit to Florence in 1 Day will start in front of Main Railway Station – Stazione Firenze Santa Maria Novella. This is the best point to start. Many tourists start their Florence experience exactly over here. Big parking garage is underneath the station, so if you are in Florence with car – here we go, park here and start your visit.
This guide covers the most visited sights and the most important ones. It is not possible to see all of them in one day, but here they are, choose 4 out of 8 and your visit will be very successful and knowledgeable.
1.) The Baptistery
2.) Il Duomo
3.) Academy of Fine Arts
4.) Piazza della Signoria
5.) Palazzo Vecchio
6.) The Uffizi Gallery
7.) Ponte Vecchio
8.) The Pitti Palace
Two most demanding are The Uffizi Gallery and The Pitti Palace. Have 2 spare hours for each of them. Baptistery and Duomo could be covered in 30 minutes, Academy of Fine Arts in 1 hour, Palazzo Vecchio in 45 minutes and Ponte Vecchio is just a bridge, well more than that, but still a bridge with numerous jewelry shops.
Depending on your budget, date of travel and so on, some of these sights are free of charge, and some of them have entrance fee. Their opening times and ticket prices are compared in Excel Sheet towards the end of the guide.
