Accidents with Motor Vehicles plying on the road are on a nasty increase in India. Fault could lie on any person but the real victims are those who are hurt or face disability or even worst the dependents of those who had to face untimely death in such accidents. In India there is a specific law relating to this aspect of life. It is called Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. Special Tribunals are created under this law to deal with the cases of compensation/damages for the loss suffered in such accidents.This book is a digest of selected leading cases of Supreme Court of India and various High Courts of India deciding various legal issues arising from the decisions rendered by the Tribunals created under the Act.
