The BTEC National specification for this unit states:
‘A residential study visit is often the highlight of the course for learners. It presents them with the opportunity to study travel and tourism in a real- life situation’.

Learners will become involved in the research, planning and evaluation of a residential trip either in the UK or abroad. It will give them an invaluable insight into the world of work in the wide-ranging travel industry.
