Description

This Exam Guide is for the Law and Business portion of the California Contractors' Exam. If you have taken the Law and Business before and passed, you do not need to take it again even if you are taking an exam for a different trade. For example, if you have a C-10 Electrical License and are considering taking the exam for the C-20 HVAC license, you do not have to repeat the law and business exam. The exam guide reviews each of the sections that you will see on the California exam. The review includes thorough treatment of basic concepts with quizzes at the end of each section. In addition to the trade information, there is great review of vocabulary. Understanding and using the correct vocabulary is a proven way to improve your performance on any test. If math and safety are part of the test, those sections are included also. In the back of each Exam Guide are multiple, complete practice tests. You can score your own test with the answers provided. One effective strategy for study is to first take one of the complete tests and discover where your weak points are. Then study only those sections where your score was not strong. After you have passed the test, you can keep this book as a very useful reference. If you took the quizzes and practice tests in pencil, you can erase your answers and sell the book to a friend. Based on the testimony of our customers, we highly recommend these Exam Guides! Additional Information If you do not currently hold a trade license, you will also have to take the Law and Business Exam. You will only have to take the Law and Business Exam once. In other words, if you have one trade license, you can take the exam for an additional trade without retaking the Law and Business Exam. There are fees for applying and taking a test, and additional requirements after you have passed.
