An icy road...sunset ...Minnesota...Charlie Evergood, a editor of a pulp magazine on paranormal phenomena (that he even considers cheesy), is startled by the sudden appearance of a naked girl in his rear view mirror...who whispers "Why did you kill me, Charlie?"...before he loses control on the ice...drives his car over an embankment...suffers a head injury.
