I wrote this for a friend. When I decided it would make a nice little book, my first thought was that it was too short, and I'd need to fluff it up. I could add a section about grammar, notes on how to format citations, and so on.
My second thought went the other way. There's enough fluff about writing out there already. You have probably discovered that you can spend endless amounts of time reading about writing without actually writing anything.
That's not what this little book is about. This book is an action-plan for getting to work. This plan breaks down the process of writing a book into manageable steps and shows you how to organize your efforts so the job gets done. You can count the steps on one hand.
I show you how to get from a blank piece of paper to a finished manuscript. Using this method, you can write part-time, you never have writer's block, and you always know what to do next. It's really kind of simple. Once you've read it, you'll say "Of course, how else could you do it? This really will work."
I've left it brief and to the point. You've been thinking about it for a long time. You can read this in a hour. An hour from now you'll be writing your book.
